AI Doom Talk Mirrors Russia and Impeachment Hoaxes | Political News
President Donald Trump is actually not one to mince phrases. He has been a vocal advocate for American development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the data facilities that make it attainable. On Monday, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to unleash a number of more verbal assaults on what he describes as hoaxes and scams. First, on AI:

Concerning AI, when, in the History of Business, did anybody see the Leaders of an Industry call for Regulation that, if strongly carried out, will drive them into oblivion and chapter? AI taking over the World, destroying Humanity, and all other issues unhealthy, is a HOAX, no different from RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA — UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE — IMPEACHMENT HOAX #1 — IMPEACHMENT HOAX #2 — and all of the other HOAXES and SCAMS that America was pressured to endure through the Destructionists’ and Deviants’ foul play and unlawful conduct. President Xi, of China, just announced that China might be doing completely nothing to stand in the best way of AI, or its future. Google has lately said that they need to construct a large Plant in Finland, all because they’re discovering allowing too troublesome in the United States. I’m not glad about this, and need them to change their considering. AI, and Data Centers, would be the Greatest Economic Development Engine in History — Bigger than Oil, Gold, Diamonds, or even the Internet. The president takes a lot of credit right here. But there’s an underlying level: The doomsayers in any given issue are usually flawed. With few exceptions, issues are nearly never as unhealthy as the more strident opponents declare they’re, ranging from points like liberalized concealed-carry legal guidelines to the implementation of AI into our business and personal lives. The president counsels the American people to take an even pressure, and focus on what we now have to gain from staying forward of China and Russia in these developments. That’s good advice. Whatever disruption AI in the arms of American business might trigger, more superior AI in the arms of Russia, China and Iran would probably do more. We have lately seen hackers with Iran ties exploring weaknesses in American info systems; AI might make them more in a position to breach these systems, and in this case, it is possible only more superior AI will stop them.
As I’ve said before: Instead of leaving the fox to guard the henhouse, we should always set the fox to catching other foxes.
