America 250, an initiative created by the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, announced on Monday that it will release a commemorative decoration to rejoice the 250th birthday of the U.S. on July 4, 2026.

The nonprofit group reportedly labored with the White House Historical Association to produce the semiquincentennial souvenir. According to the Associated Press, the decoration is a restricted version, handcrafted duplicate of the Declaration of Independence, which the founding fathers of the nation used to declare independence from Great Britain in 1776.

It was reported that one facet of the souvenir options a doc printed on linen, and the other facet reveals American flags waving atop the White House, along with the America250 emblem and the years 1776-2026 on a crimson ribbon. The complete rim of the doc is trimmed in pure gold.

Members of the bipartisan group hope that the upcoming celebration of America’s independence will help unite a politically divided nation. “It’s a moment for us to reflect on the last 250 years and, even more importantly, where we’re going for the next 250th,” Jennifer Condon, govt vice president of America250.org.

Condon said she hopes the decoration will play a small half in that endeavor as “a symbol of, truly, this unity that we’re trying to strive for.”According to Stewart McLaurin, the president of the White House Historical Association, it is uncommon for the WHHA to release an decoration outdoors of its own assortment.

McLaurin commented that the decoration “embodies the spirit and history of our nation.” According to the outlet, the decoration is made by a Rhode Island-based company that also collaborates with the White House affiliation on ornaments.
