AOCs Reply on Abolishing the Senate Is a Train

The Democratic Socialists of America have been flirting with the thought of supporting Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) for president in 2028. 

The normal response to that thought from people on the proper has been: please do. Because there’s in all probability no better individual to show not only how dangerous their insurance policies are but how empty-headed they’re as nicely. 

She confirmed that in spades in two separate incidents. 

Here she is at a get-out-the-vote event for fellow leftist Justin Pearson, who is a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing elements of Memphis. He’s working for the U.S. House for the ninth district. Of course, AOC isn’t from Tennessee. She grew up in the suburbs of New York City. But she appeared to pull the same trick we have seen from people like Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton. Check out this accent.

‘We can’t afford to go away Tennessee behind, Kentucky behind, Alabama behind, Mississippi behind, Georgia behind, South Carolina behind,” AOC ranted. 

How fake is that? That is not her normal accent. I’m expecting her to tell us she’s in “no methods drained” and has “scorching sauce in her bag” after that. Does she actually suppose people are going to fall for that? It just makes her look even sillier and inauthentic. But she may observe in the custom of Kamala and Hillary, run and lose, too.

But that wasn’t the only comment from AOC that acquired a lot of backlash and had people mocking her. 

Ocasio-Cortez was requested about one of the DSA platform factors—abolishing the Senate—by Newsmax congressional correspondent Kilmeny Duchardt exterior the Capitol. The DSA co-chair had beforehand confirmed that this was half of their agenda, among other strikes to upend our system of authorities typically.

Not surprisingly, AOC did not appear to be she wished to reply that query. While she did not actually give a straight reply, not only did she not reject the DSA’s idiotic platform thought, she attacked the Senate in an ahistorical reply.

“I mean, again, I’m not running for any larger office presently,” she said when requested about the proposal.

AOC added that abolishing the Senate “is, of course, a constitutional question.”

When Duchardt pressed the lawmaker on whether or not she helps the Senate itself, Ocasio-Cortez criticized the chamber’s historical past.

“I don’t support the filibuster. I don’t support elements of this institution that we know…were founded on…Jim Crow,” she replied. 

What is she even speaking about? The Senate was created as half of the Constitution in 1787, long before “Jim Crow,” whose origins began after the end of the Civil War. The filibuster also preceded Jim Crow. And how are you able to swear to uphold the Constitution if you may’t even say straight out that you help such a essential half of it?
