In a nod to The Beatles’ iconic tune Come Together,  the sons of three band members have teamed up to release a new observe.

Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr, joined forces with Sean Ono Lennon and James McCartney, sons of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, respectively, for the tune Rip Off. Zak, 59, teased the observe on Instagram this previous Sunday, June 15.

Sean, 49, and James, 47, joined Zak’s supergroup Mantra of the Cosmos, which also contains Oasis bassist Andy Bell, Shaun Ryder, and Mark Berry of Happy Mondays. The tune is a genre-blending rock tune that echoes the Fab Four’s model but with a modern spin.

This collaboration marks the first time in 5 a long time that three of The Beatles’ offspring have united to create music.

In a current interview with the Telegraph revealed on June 13, Zak, whose mom is Ringo’s first spouse, Maureen Starkey, clarified that despite some members’ musical lineage, his group is not a Beatles duplicate.

“No, it’s not,” he firmly acknowledged when the comparability between the 2 bands was drawn. “It’s like Mantra of the Cosmos with them in it. It’s Sean of the Cosmos and James of the Cosmos, it’s still my band.”

Zak, who most just lately drummed for The Who but was let go twice, alleged that after his newest dismissal, he was requested to falsely declare that he had give up.

“I never knew that doing interviews and having press was bizarre. You take it as it comes,” Sean shared, opening up about the harsh realities of being famous from a young age. “You do not select your identify, you do not select your dad and mom. You’re hurled into this earth, and life hits you.”
