Chris Van Hollen Evokes Mockery With 2028 Remarks,

We’ve been reporting on the assorted people considering or being talked about as doable 2028 candidates to run for president in the Democrat Party.

The names being kicked around are a competition of failure, including California Gov. Gavin “Hairgel” Newsom, the “don’t ever call me Border Czar” Kamala Harris, and the thirsting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14). 

But now those people might have company, because guess who is confessing he is “kicking the tires”? Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD). 

Chris Van Hollen says he’s “been kicking the tires” on 2028.

He said to Meet the Press anchor Kristen Welker that he had been contemplating working in 2028, that he’d been to New Hampshire and was invited to Iowa, and was “testing the waters.”

Now what’s hilarious about that is that he is principally recognized for his ridiculous assist of “Maryland Man” Kilmar Albrego Garcia. That’s not precisely a good suggestion for the job of president. He will never have the ability to live down this image.

But then Van Hollen made it worse. Welker requested if he would settle for an endorsement from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Van Hollen stumbled all over himself.

“I’m not going to reject an endorsement by sure people at the DSA,” Van Hollen said, although he said he was not seeking an endorsement from the DSA.

But if you are keen to settle for their endorsement, and you suppose they’ve a place in the Democrat Party, you are in league with them, so that’s immediately disqualifying. The DSA, according to its platform, needs to upend our system of authorities. That’s incompatible with working for president. 

Chances that Van Hollen has in 2028? I’m not even sure he would crack one p.c. 

The most common response on X to the clip about him working was people just mocking him. He can be such a present to the Republicans if he by some means managed to be the Democrat nominee. But I do not suppose that’s going to occur.

In addition to not having any constructive national presence, Van Hollen has all the persona of a moist blanket. What has he executed that’s worthwhile to even be worthy of the thought? A complete lot of nothing. I feel he and Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) can be in a tight competitors for “worst primary performers.”
