Country star Spencer Hatcher has spoken out after his mom was killed and his father injured in a home invasion.

The 27-12 months-outdated took to Instagram to announce the cancellation of some of his exhibits following the tragedy. “It is with a heavy heart and overwhelming sadness that – due to a monumental loss in our family – I must cancel my upcoming shows,” he wrote.

Spencer canceled his look at VOA Country Music Fest and his exhibits at Rockingham County Fair. He told followers, “I hope to make these dates up to my fans in the future.” Spencer thanked followers for their help before asking for privateness at this time.

Spencer’s 62-12 months-outdated mom Holly Hatcher was killed on August 3 in the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia.

An intruder broke into the home, wielding a knife. They fatally stabbed Holly and then attacked her husband, 65-12 months-outdated Michael Hatcher.

Walker had booked a campsite at the Endless Caverns RV & Camp in close by New Market, Virginia, on Friday, August 1, according to investigators.

Later that day, Walker is said to have bought a sleeping bag and a large knife from Walmart.

On August 2, Virginia State Police responded to a report of an deserted vehicle. They then found the camp store had been damaged into, though nothing was said to have been stolen.

The following day, police responded to a call at 11.57 p.m. at the Hatcher home, where they discovered Holly and the intruder useless.

Fans have been offering their condolences to Spencer. One individual commented on Instagram, “So sorry for your loss.”
