David Muir pushes for Andrew to be investigated | TV Shows
A day after Buckingham Palace stripped Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of all royal titles, the household of Virginia Giuffre is looking on King Charles to stress the U.S. authorities to release sealed paperwork tied to Jeffrey Epstein.
The king’s resolution to take away his brother from public life has added fuel to longstanding calls for transparency in the Epstein investigation.
“He wants to be absolutely investigated and introduced to some kind of account,” a member of the family of Giuffre said.
“We need the king. We really do. We need him to put pressure on our own government here in the United States to release the Epstein files.”
Giuffre has long alleged that Epstein trafficked her for intercourse with Windsor when she was underage. The Duke of York has denied all accusations and settled Giuffre’s civil lawsuit in 2022 without admitting guilt.
The royal household’s transfer was seen by Giuffre’s household as a symbolic victory.
“It was joy, but it was, you know, sorrow because she should be here in this victory, in this moment,’ they said. “It was every little thing that she was preventing for.”
Windsor, who had been living at Royal Lodge, a 30-room estate in Windsor, is expected to relocate to Sandringham, King Charles’s private estate in Norfolk.
His former wife, Sarah Ferguson, will reportedly no longer share the residence.
Giuffre’s family is also looking beyond the palace. They hope U.S. lawmakers will act to unseal records related to Epstein.
