Jello Biafra, the enduring former frontman and lyricist of punk outfit Dead Kennedys, was transported to the hospital on Saturday, March 7, following a important medical disaster.
The 67-year-old rocker, born Eric Reed Boucher, skilled a ‘hemorrhagic stroke triggered by high blood pressure,’ a condition where a blood vessel bursts within the mind, triggering inside bleeding that damages tissue and elevates strain inside the cranium.
His label, Alternative Tentacles, broke the news to supporters via Instagram on Monday, March 9, noting that the artist was ‘at the moment hospitalized but stable’ at that second. The Dead Kennedys emerged from San Francisco in 1979 before calling it quits in 1986.

The Boulder, Colorado native reassured his supporters at the time, saying, “I still have a lot of great stuff in me, but right now I gotta lotta of rehabbing to do.”
