Democrat Senator Gets Roasted on Live TV With

Democrats are now in a unhealthy place when it comes to the Schumer Shutdown. 

They’re going through stress from people to open the federal government, including from a big federal worker union and a large retail affiliation.

If they thought it could adversely have an effect on the Republicans, they had been unsuitable. The Republican approval has gone up since the shutdown began. Democrats are contemplating proposing or going along with standalone payments to pay federal staff and/or cowl issues just like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as a method out of the dilemma they’ve created.

They’re also shedding the media. 

We’ve famous some of the interactions, and they just had another couple of brutal examples. We coated how even GWN’s Jake Tapper wasn’t going along with the narrative pushed by Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury (NM-01). He would not let Stansbury get away with deflecting. There was also CNBC’s Becky Quick, who took aside the arguments of House Minority Leader, Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08).

Now Democrats May Be Losing the Legacy Media

When Democrats cannot even maintain onto Tapper, they’re in a unhealthy place. 

Then got here another CNBC pummeling that Squawk Box host Joe Kernen dished out to Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) on Wednesday.

Kernen put him over the grill.

“You’re always reasonable when you come on, and I’ve said that, and you’re almost conceding that you should not be shutting down the government, that the Democrats should not be doing that,” Kernen told the Vermont senator.

“This is not the way to do it.”

Kernen put the query merely to Welch, “Are you ready to vote with the Republicans to open the government at this point, as a reasonable Democrat? Maybe others would follow you.”

WOW. When even CNBC is BLASTING Democrat Senators over their authorities shutdown, you understand it is unhealthy:

CNBC: “Are you ready to vote with the Republicans to reopen the government at this point, as a reasonable Democrat?”

SEN WELCH: “You know, I’m not there yet…”

Welch claimed that he “wasn’t there yet.” 

Then Kernen unloaded on him, “This is the right way to do it, senator? By people not getting paychecks at the TSA? This is extortion! You think this is the right way, you think in your conscience, you think this is the right way to do it?”

Bingo! That’s precisely what it’s: extortion. 

Everything is secondary to Democrats getting what they need. It’s just exhibiting how little Democrats truly care about the people for whom they are saying they’re working. With issues just like the TSA, that’s doubtlessly placing air visitors at risk, in addition to the people who could face SNAP points. 

Bottom line? You haven’t got a downside, and you do not need standalone payments if you fund the federal government and stop enjoying political video games, as Sen. Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) famous in a highly effective Senate flooring speech Wednesday. The downside is that there aren’t cheap Democrats anymore, aside from perhaps Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA).
