A Democratic congresswoman stormed out of Wednesdays tense House Judiciary listening to after a heated exchange with Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is going through questions over the Justice Department’s handling of the release of the Epstein information, alongside other home points.
“You didn’t ask Merrick Garland anything about Epstein, not once” Bondi said.
“Weak sauce. Weak sauce,” Balint responded.
“With this antisemitic culture right now, she voted against a resolution condeming–,” Bondi said.
Balint then interrupts,visibly annoyed, and raises her voice saying:
“You want to go there?! Are you serious? Talking about antisemitism to a woman who lost her grandfather in the Holocaust! Really?! Really?!”
The digicam then pans to Balint getting up from her chair as she storms off out of the room.
Bondi then laughs following the tense interplay as the committie makes an attempt to reorient itself.
Moments before the dramatic outburst, Balint and Bondi had alreadt been going verbally toe to toe relating to the Epstein information.
Balint grilled Bondi about the names of senior Trump appointed officals coming up in the Epstein information, inlcuding Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce, John C. Phelan, Secretary of the Navy and Steven Feinburg, Deputy Secretay of Defense.
“These men we’re appointed by president Trump to senior positions in his administration. All of them have clear and confirmed ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Attorney General Bondi, yes or no, has the justice department asked Secretary Lutnick about his ties to Epstein,” Balint questioned.
” Secretary Lutnick has addressed those ties himself,” Bondi responded.
“I’m asking you has the justice department specifically asked Secretary Lutnick about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein?” Balint questioned again.
“He has addresed those ties himself,” Bondi restated.
In another occasion, Balint heatedly grilled Bondi on if president Trump was ” aware of Secretary Lutnick’s ties to Epstein when he chose him to lead the Deparment of Commerce.”
Bondi seemingly dodges the query with “Chris Malen was a Border Patrol agent…”
Balint responds declaring “So I’m going to conclude that the president in fact did know!”
“Shame on you,” Bondi snips back.
“This is pathetic!… This is not a game,” Balint yelled.
