Fox News viewers have expressed their disapproval of some feedback made by panelists on The Five this week.
Jesse Watters, 47, was absent from the newsdesk on the TV program on Monday, July 6, with comedian Greg Gutfeld, 61, also lacking.
The panel, instead, featured former MTV host Kennedy, 53, political strategist Jessica Tarvlov, 42, former White House press secretary Dana Perino, 54, The Big Weekend Show host Johnny Joey Jones, 39, and comic Tom Shillue, 60. Jesse’s conservatibe fanbase was irritated that he wasn’t on the show.
One of the topics of discussions on the panel was Donald Trump‘s intervention after US ahead Folarin Balogun acquired a crimson card at the World Cup.
On Monday, Trump took credit for getting FIFA to review the crimson card – but said he didn’t demand an final result.

“All I did was ask for a review,” the Republican politician, 80, said when requested about it during an unrelated Oval Office event. “I didn’t say, ‘You have to do this.'”
Trump confirmed that he called FIFA President Gianni Infantino and requested for a second look at the punishment against Balogun in the United States’ 2-0 win against Bosnia-Herzegovina last week in Santa Clara, California, close to San Francisco.
However, he said FIFA made the ultimate call to carry Balogun’s necessary one-game ban for a foul deal with, permitting him to play in Monday’s spherical of 16 match with Belgium in Seattle.
Speaking on The Five, Jones said, “We are the most powerful country in the world, and why not… what is the use in developing and creating and sacrificing for that power if you can’t use it to fix the most egregious wrongs like whatever a red card is?”
Perino added, “President Trump should do a flyover over the stadium tonight just before the game.”
But the panel’s remarks did not go down nicely with Fox viewers, as one wrote on X, “What is wrong with these people? Do they hear what they are saying? It’s maddening.”
Another tweeted, “How about making things better for the American people. Red cards and vanity projects are not helping the average American. People want affordability and health care not airplanes and a ballroom for a millionaire president.”
A 3rd posted, “This is no different than what performs on most state tv channels daily in Russia.”

Someone else shared, “What in the wide wide world of sports does America being a powerful country have to do with meddling in a sports competition?

Balogun, the American leader with three goals in the tournament, received a red card for stepping awkwardly on the right ankle of Tarik Muharemović of Bosnia-Herzegovina in a 2-0 round of 32 win on Wednesday last week, triggering an automatic one-game suspension.

FIFA announced on Sunday that the suspension had been lifted for the round of 16 match, an extraordinary move that triggered praise from Trump and outrage from Belgium’s team.
It appeared to be the first time since 1962 that a red card during a World Cup didn’t result in a suspension.
“Thank you to FIFA for doing what was proper, and reversing a great injustice!” Trump said in a statement on social media after the red card was suspended.

The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) said it was “astonished,” and Belgium coach Rudi Garcia mocked FIFA’s action.
“I did not know that in the workplaces of FIFA the fifth of July was the first of April in Europe,” Garcia said through a translator in an April Fools’ Day comparison.
“The Belgian federation doesn’t defend itself, it doesn’t shield the national workforce. She defends soccer in common, she defends her integrity, her ethics. I believe it is the first time in the historical past of the World Cup that there is this variety of choice.”
Balogun played against Belgium last night but the United States Men’s National Soccer Team was eliminated from the tournament after a 4-1 defeat.
