Fox News halts show to reveal new details on Trump | TV Shows
Fox News has unveiled the details on the current cellphone call between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping.
On Monday, November 24, the U.S. president started his day with a important dialog with the Chinese president. Fox News interrupted its common section of America’s Newsroom to spotlight the dialogue.
Host Bill Hemmer handed the show over to Senior Foreign Policy Correspondent Gillian Turner, who offered insights into their dialog, stating, “They spoke about a whole range of issues. Mostly, the Chinese are touting what they said was tremendous progress since the Busan meeting, which they claim the two have made.
Turner had a conversation with a Chinese representative who noted, “It’s very important that the U.S. get on board with Taiwan reintegrating to develop into a half of China, one thing that clearly no person in the U.S. authorities is on board with.”
Jinping stated that China and the U.S. should come together to “collectively safeguard the victory of World War II.”
Tensions have been high between America and China in recent months, particularly after the U.S. imposed significant tariffs on Chinese goods.
China retaliated to Trump’s tariff order by limiting the export of rare earth elements.
Following their meeting, the U.S. reduced Chinese tariffs to 10%, while China lifted its restrictions on rare exports.
Speaking about their agreement to the media, Trump stated, “The information again show that cooperation advantages both sides while confrontation hurts both.”
In their most recent conversation, Jinping told Trump that the relationship between their countries has “typically maintained a regular and constructive trajectory” and they should aim for “more constructive progress.”
