Peter Doocy, one of the community’s correspondents, was on hand as the President answered some questions from Cincinnati, Ohio, and he level clean requested the president what the battle was, after he used two very different phrases to describe it.
“You just said it is a little excursion, and you said, ‘it’s a war.’ So which one is it?” he requested.
Unperturbed, the president rapidly answered, saying it was truly both issues.
“Well, it’s both, it’s both. It’s an excursion that will keep us out of a war, and the war’s gonna be, uh, for them, it’s a war. For us, it’s turned out to be easier than we thought.”

Many rapidly commented on the post, with a number of commending Doocy for asking a harder query.
“Glad to see Doocy at least putting him half way on the spot. Maybe he is tired of being treated like a dog,” one particular person wrote on X (previously Twitter).
“Doocy getting some cojones these days…” another said, and a third added, “That was actually a good question.”

Others slammed the president’s remarks, particularly following the deaths of U.S. troopers.
“War will keep us out of war,” one fumed.
“So these soldiers died for an excursion??” a second questioned.
“War is peace, invasion is an excursion, and apparently contradictions are now strategy,” a third said.

The battle started on February 28, with strikes that killed the previous Iranian chief as properly as other senior members of the management.
