Popular series departs Netflix and moves to new | TV Shows


Somebody Feed Phil will no longer be streaming on Netflix after eight seasons.

The food journey show, hosted and executive-produced by Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal, has discovered a new home on YouTube. Somebody Feed Phil will seem on the platform in 2027 as half of a broader deal between Phil, his manufacturing company Lucky Bastards, and Banijay Americas and Banijay Rights.

The corporations purpose to broaden the 66-year-old TV author’s model “across YouTube and the broader digital ecosystem,” according to a press release. Whilst earlier seasons will stay on Netflix, new episodes will premiere on YouTube.

Somebody Feed Phil will transition to YouTube on a new Phil Rosenthal World YouTube Channel, along with a vary of short- and long-form authentic content. This deal positions YouTube as the central hub for Phil’s model, stories The Mirror US.

“One of the things I always loved about Everybody Loves Raymond was that it was free to watch everywhere,” Phil acknowledged. “We are thrilled to announce that Somebody Feed Phil will move to YouTube, where our message of family, friendship, food, travel, and laughs can reach the most people.”

Cathy Payne, Banijay Rights’ CEO added that their “forward-thinking approach” to the online video sharing platform and digital monetization is “perfectly epitomized” through this deal with the Emmy–successful producer and Banijay Americas. She acknowledged the company will continue increasing their YouTube, FAST and AVOD operations both domestically and internationally.

The program initially launched as a PBS series titled I’ll Have What Phil’s Having, that includes six episodes. Phil transferred the show to Netflix in 2018, rebranding it as Somebody Feed Phil.

The series chronicles Phil’s global travels as he discovers local delicacies, meets residents, and experiences numerous cultures.

Phil’s brother, Rich Rosenthal, serves as government producer and showrunner of Somebody Feed Phil and sometimes seems on-camera sampling the food.

Phil printed a companion cookbook to the series, Somebody Feed Phil: The Book, in October 2022.
