GB News presenters Tom Harwood and Nana Akua clashed during their programme earlier this week, with the latter branding her male co-star “patronising”. During the phase, which aired on Tuesday, Tom was making an attempt to clarify points with user-generated online content.

The pair began speaking over each other before Tom said: “You do understand what that would mean?” Nana replied: “Well, yes, I do, Tom. I am not stupid, OK? Don’t patronise me!” Tom retorted: “I am not patronising you,” to which she snapped back, “I think you are just a little bit.”

He clapped back: “I just think you are wrong on this topic,” to which Nana famous: “Well, you can be wrong. We have two different opinions on this topic – but don’t patronise me because I am not going to tolerate that.”

Wanting to get the ultimate phrase in, Ben sniped: “Well, I don’t think anyone did that.” But Nana wasn’t going to let him have the last say, sniping: “Well, you did…”

The duo then had to stay skilled and smile for the cameras as they told viewers what was coming up next on the programme.

The awkward interplay did not go unnoticed by GB News followers, who have been fast to remark on the row on X, previously recognized as Twitter.

One particular person wrote: “When mansplaining goes wrong.” Another penned: “Not the first time Tom has behaved this way!”

A 3rd added: “And this is why I love Nana.” Someone else shared: Nana takes s**t from no one. Tom is better when he is paired with Emily, she treats him like an annoying youthful brother.”

A fifth said: “Her face. She was completely fuming…” A sixth wrote: “@GBNEWS Tom and Nana having a spat on live TV – great stuff guys, the eagerness is real.”
