Golden Bachelorette’s Chock compared to Devin | TV Shows

Chock Chapple got a rose and Joan Vassos is going to meet his family on hometown dates on The Golden Bachelorette–but some viewers are starting to worry he is giving off the same vibes Devin Strader did on Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette.

Chock irritated the other men on the final group date of the season, as he commandeered much of the alone time with Joan, and his other behavior during the episode further gave viewers the “ick.” 

And while some of Joan’s other former suitors have indicated they think she has the best connection with him, some fans are starting to worry about her fate because the way he is acting is very similar to the way Devin did on Jenn’s season of The Bachelorette. 

Devin frequently pulled possessive moves and irritated the other men by stealing time with Jenn frequently, even when he already had a rose. 

However, all of his moves to show his commitment to Jenn, which did see her propose to him at the end of the season, were not followed through with, as he called off his engagement to her after the show ended.

“Exactly!!! I’m getting the same vibe and hope she doesn’t pick him but then she sent all the good ones home tonight,” another agreed. 

Joan sent Mark Anderson home prior to the rose ceremony, and then went on to eliminate Keith Gordon and Jonathan Rone.

She is going on hometown dates with Chock, Guy Gansert, Jordan Heller and Pascal Ibgui. 

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays on ABC.
