Hillary Clinton Opens Girls Rights Panel by

Former Secretary of State and twice-filed presidential candidate headlined a panel at the Munich Security Conference Saturday called “Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights: Fighting the Global Pushback.” 

After railing against supposed “anti-gender” and “anti-rights” movements that threaten females, Clinton turned the microphone over to her second guest — the first “feminine” one — openly transgender lawmaker Rep. Sarah McBride (DE-at-large). Clinton said McBride is someone who tried “to clarify and actually convey people together around points of gender.”

“She’s a gender rights champion,” the one-time First Lady proclaimed.

McBride wasted no time in blasting the United States for its supposed warfare on transgenders:

There is no query in the United States that after a long time of historic progress, on gender equality writ large, and particularly more just lately on LGBTQ rights, that we face, as you talked about, a nicely organized, well-funded, proper wing regressive motion.

And they actually have positioned trans people at the middle of that effort, but we ought to be clear that the implications of this anti-trans effort, not only out of proximity, but out of intentionality, will embrace penalties for girls of all backgrounds.

There’s a lot to unpack right here. First, I might be aware that the lawmaker claims that darkish forces have “placed trans people at the center” of an effort to discriminate against them. 

I might argue that the alternative is true: the trans motion put itself at the middle of the talk. Meanwhile, Sarah McBride is an advocate for males taking part in in ladies’ sports activities, and Hillary Clinton has never said boo about the observe. How are you preventing for the “fundamental rights” you declare to be if you’ll be able to’t even stand up for harmless scholar athletes and confused teenagers?
