Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) stormed out of a congressional listening to after coming into into a spat with Attorney General Pam Bondi, whom she put on blast over her handling of the release of the Epstein recordsdata, as properly as quite a few other latest scandals associated to Bondi’s work with the DOJ.

“This is a big cover-up. And this administration is still engaged in it. In fact, this administration is complicit,” Crockett started a prolonged rant against the attorney basic during a listening to of the House Judiciary Committee.

“But there are numerous others, like how the DOJ is attempting to obstruct justice in the investigations of the rogue agents who have murdered American citizens or how the DOJ sees voter data from Fulton County in an attempt to steal the 2026 midterm elections, or how federal agents have Tom Homan on tape accepting a bribe, and your agency killed the investigation, or how your agency is ready to give the president a $230 million payday, which is unconstitutional. The Constitution is clear — the president shall not receive any payment except his salary while in office,” she continued.

“The fact of the matter is that you will be remembered as one of the worst attorney generals in history — an attorney general who has prioritized obstruction over justice, corruption over the law, fealty to the president over loyalty to the Constitution, and Mr. Chairman, I will yield.”

Bondi was then given time to reply by the next consultant who was given the ground, and she slammed Crockett for failing to acknowledge a fee she alleges, without evidence, that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries obtained from Jeffrey Epstein after he was convicted the first time and for failing to acknowledge a number of latest arrests made by immigration authorities in her state of undocumented migrants with felony information.

“I find it interesting that she didn’t even want to try, Congresswoman Crockett, to ask any questions, because she certainly did not condemn her leader, Hakeem Jeffries, for taking money from Jeffrey Epstein after Epstein was convicted. And I will be brief to give you your time, congressman. This is what she didn’t want to talk about,” Bondi said. She then listed a number of of the boys who have been arrested by immigration officers in Texas.

“Convict some of these perpetrators that raped these women that are sitting behind you. You refuse to even acknowledge they are here!” Crockett interjected loudly at one level, prompting the congressman whose time was getting used by Bondi, Rep. Derek Schmidt (R-Kansas), to interject and ask for further time back after the outburst.

“That’s why they want to talk about Epstein and not what’s happening in their own states,” Bondi concluded after studying off more names.

But by that level, Crockett had already gotten up and left the proceedings, though video would not show her exiting her seat and leaving the chamber.

Bondi launched into a passionate protection of President Donald Trump on Wednesday as she tried to flip the web page from relentless criticism of the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein recordsdata, repeatedly shouting at Democrats during a combative listening to in which she postured herself as the Republican president’s chief protector.

Besieged by questions over Epstein and accusations of a weaponized Justice Department, Bondi aggressively pivoted in an extraordinary speech in which she mocked her Democratic questioners, praised Trump over the efficiency of the stock market and overtly aligned herself as in sync with a president whom she painted as a sufferer of past impeachments and investigations.

“You sit here and you attack the president and I’m not going to have it,” Bondi told lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee. “I am not going to put up with it.”

With victims of Epstein seated behind her in the listening to room, Bondi forcefully defended the division’s handling of the recordsdata associated to the well-connected financier that have dogged her tenure. She accused Democrats of utilizing the Epstein recordsdata to distract from Trump’s successes, when it was Republicans who initiated the furor over the recordsdata and Bondi herself fanned the flames by distributing binders to conservative influencers at the White House last 12 months.
