The future of Mike McDaniel isn’t so unsure anymore.
NFL Network reported on Monday that the Dolphins had been planning on bringing back the top coach and McDaniel was requested about it during a press convention later in the day.
“My understanding is that I am the coach of the Miami Dolphins until I’m told otherwise,” McDaniel told reporters.
There had been questions surrounding McDaniel’s future in South Florida after the Dolphins struggled this season and completed the 12 months with a 7-10 document after successful 4 straight video games to end the 2025 marketing campaign.

ESPN reported that despite the struggles, the staff had religion in McDaniel and that the problems that plagued the staff this past season had been quarterback-related.
McDaniel told reporters that he’s going to discuss with staff proprietor Stephen Ross relating to a profitable push ahead.
“We’re getting together later in the week to discuss what needs to be discussed,” McDaniel said. “We both share the sentiment that we’re not where we would like to be, and in this business, you’ve got to have a plan of motion to improve that play. I believe those discussions are very important and healthy, and I believe the fan base is counting on that to happen.

“We’re not just dismissing this season as, ‘Oops, we’ll try again.’ No — you’re trying to attack things, control your controllables and the bottom line of ‘we need to improve this football team now,’ and set forth a plan to do that.”
The Dolphins are in need of a new common supervisor after they fired Chris Grier in October.
McDaniel goes to play a position in the hiring course of of the next particular person to fill that position, though he did level out that he’s going to “aid and assist,” but it isn’t his determination to make finally.
