Movie buffs don cosplay fashion for The Odyssey…
Clotheshorses are going Trojan.
Greek stylish is the wardrobe à la mode among trendy followers of Christopher Nolan’s epic characteristic, “The Odyssey,” out Friday, inspiring gung-ho film goers to hit theaters garbed in togas, armor and siren swag for first appears at the legendary masterwork.
And it’s a splashy sight to sea.

Channeling their internal Odysseus by donning his outerwear, fearless movie aficionados are taking styling cues from Ellen Mirojnick, head costumer for Nolan’s period piece, reimagining the luxurious items that adorned its A-list solid, starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Tom Holland and Zendaya.
“I’m going to watch the Odyssey in all IMAX 70-mm locations in California,” vowed David Joshua Taylor, digitally recognized as @FinalMovieBuff, while rocking Greek soldier gear, à la Damon as the flick’s heroic frontman, full with a chlamys and ancient-aesthetic helmet.
“Why?,” said a suited up Taylor, “because I’m crazy.”
Crazy or artistic? Either means, the eccentric isn’t on an island by himself.

Akin to the hubbub spurred by blockbusters such as “Wicked,” which prompted zealots to gown as misunderstood witches in green-face, and the “Barbie” film, a silver screen sensation that had gals from midtown to Malibu carrying head-to-toe pink, “The Odyssey” invitations worldwide revelers to revel in the whimsy of superfandom.
Even if the bulk of audiences barely know the movement image’s plot.
As a refresher, it’s an adaptation of Homer’s 2,800-year-old epic poem, which follows Odysseus’ decade-long, harrowing journey home to spouse Penelope (Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Holland) after the Trojan War. Along the way in which, the seafarer and his crew encounter a sequence of unsavory foes, such as the nymph Calypso (Theron) and the one-eyed cyclops.

Chloe Taylor, a UK-based influencer, appeared to agree, showcasing her own flare for fantasy, attired as the Goddess Athena (Zendaya) alongside chum, Atifa, dressed as a Queen Olympias.
