Netflix statement over Meghan and Harrys | TV Shows

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have signed a new deal with Netflix, but it is believed to be price a lot less than their earlier $100 million settlement.

The streaming giant shared the announcement on Monday, revealing Archewell Productions has “extended its creative partnership with Netflix, with a multi-year, first-look deal for its film and television projects.”

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, said, “Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose tales resonate with audiences in every single place.”

She continued, “The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”

Archwell Productions have plenty of new projects to work on as part of their new Netflix deal.

Meghan’s lifestyle show With Love, Meghan will return for a second season later this month. The show’s debut received mixed reviews, with some critics branding it “inauthentic.”

There will also be a holiday special of the show, airing in December.

Harry and Meghan are behind a film version of the novel Meet Me at the Lake and will be creating a new documentary, Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within.

A synopsis for the documentary reads, “In the center of Uganda’s Masaka area, where the shadows of the HIV/AIDS disaster linger, a small orphanage turns into a beacon of hope.

“Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future.”
