Ousted St. Louis Mayor Gives Standard Democrat | Political News

If nothing else, Democrats are constant in their absurdity. When they win elections, every part is honest and above board. But when they lose, it might probably’t be because of the lunacy of their insurance policies and concepts, or their incompetence. No, it is because the voters, who they need to vote for their get together in the longer term, are, as Rush Limbaugh used to say, racist, sexist, bigoted homophobes. It’s the strategy they use from federal elections, all the way in which down to state and native races. St. Louis not too long ago elected a new mayor, and the previous mayor is aware of why she misplaced. Bet you may guess her reply.

On Thursday, in a latest interview with St. Louis Public Radio, former Mayor Tishaura Jones said that the motive she was soundly crushed in April’s mayoral election and misplaced to Cara Spencer is…wait for it…the voters of the Gateway metropolis are racists. More particularly, they’re on a mission to oust black girls in energy. Jones was crushed by former Alderwoman Spencer by a 28-point margin. It was one of the widest margins of victory in 50 years.

A bit about the make-up of St. Louis. The northside is predominantly black; the southside is predominantly white. Like any giant metropolis, there are good and dangerous elements in each of those areas. Jones said that voters merely ignored a vital drop in the murder charge, from a report high of 40 p.c in 2020 to a 10-year low in 2024. She stated, “That’s what the people wanted back in 2021. And then they moved the goalposts to potholes and trash and snow removal.” Two of the largest points that emerged from the marketing campaign had been insufficient trash removing providers — trash started piling up in sure areas — and the dearth of snow removing on metropolis facet streets after a huge snowstorm in January that also left those streets sheets of ice for weeks. Move the goalposts? As mayor, is not it your job to stroll and chew gum at the identical time, to have the ability to juggle a number of points at once? 

But Jones’s response obtained higher when she made a fairly broad and unfair assertion about Southside voters, saying that when she went there to marketing campaign, no one gave her a passable — at least to her — response as to why they had been voting for Spencer, including, “And if you can’t give me a reason or something that I have particularly done, then the only default is race.” Yeah, that should get Southsiders to vote for you. 

Right. Instead, her answer was black folks on the north side expectations were too high.

As for Northside voters, where crumbling buildings and infrastructure have been an issue for decades, Jones had beefs with them, too. She stated:

“But there’s no patience there. The expectations there are so high to deliver and deliver immediately to address the decades of neglect in four years, and that is impossible.”

Jones bases her pulling of the race card argument on the reelection losses of three different space black girls: former Congresswoman Cori Bush, former metropolis Comptroller Darlene Green, and former Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner. Jones also cited her father, former Comptroller Virvus Jones, telling her, “Black girls have to work twice as arduous to get half as a lot.” Jones doubled down on the household victimhood mindset, including, “Well, I feel like we work five times as hard to get nothing in return.” Tishaura Jones’s parting shot to metropolis voters: “I think St. Louis needs to have a conversation with itself about why it no longer trusts Black women to lead. ” Wow.

Once again, proof that there’s no scarcity of Democrats, for whom it never happens that their election loss has nothing to do with race or intercourse, but just that they suck at their jobs. Even Joe Biden, on a Thursday look on “The View,” said as if it had been a reality that Kamala Harris misplaced the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump because she was a black lady. In a phrase, Americans are racists and sexists. It has also not occurred to them that possibly insulting the people you need to vote for you is mostly not a good concept, and the explanation they keep shedding elections. But they just cannot stop the race card.

But, fortunate for Democrats, no matter how a lot they insult voters, St. Louis will probably be a blue metropolis for the foreseeable future.
