Outlander legend leaped to co-stars defense over | UK News

Outlander season eight is fast approaching, but it isn’t always been easy crusing for the solid off-camera.

With just a few months to go before the last instalment of the famend Scottish romantic drama commences, once again centred around the Fraser household, anticipation is building.

Lauren Lyle and Cesar Domboy, who painting Marsali and Fergus respectively, are set to return for the concluding episodes of Outlander, having last appeared in collection six.

In the lead-up to the grand premiere of season eight, actress Lyle resumed her in style podcast She’s A Rec this week, that includes Outlander stalwart Caitriona Balfe as a visitor.

Lyle took the chance to spotlight Balfe’s kindness behind the scenes, having portrayed Claire Fraser for an spectacular 12 years, before recalling a less harmonious incident.

Lyle began: “I always found you very commanding on set, in a very respectful way.

“Everyday you’d always thank everybody for being there and say goodbye and good evening to everybody, every time without fail.

“And you’d only flip out on something that meant something, never flip out over dumb s***.

“It would always be in help of somebody, I keep in mind you flipping out over one thing for me and Cesar [Domboy].

“We weren’t allowed to kiss and Caitriona [Balfe] and Sam [Heughan] do a lot of kissing on the show and me and Cesar, who plays Fergus, were told we weren’t allowed to kiss.”

Balfe went on to clarify: “What I think what you was told, people didn’t do that in that time in public and we were like ‘pretty sure we’ve done that and more.'”

Lyle responded: “Cesar definitely kicked off as well and then eventually I think it was like ‘Fair enough. On you go.'”

Marsali and Fergus had departed Fraser’s Ridge in season six to start afresh in another city, where he was set to run a print store.

In Diana Gabaldon’s novels, the couple do not make a return, which means the tv adaptation is now diverging from the source materials.

However, what might clarify Marsali and Fergus’ shocking comeback, and how may their arrival affect the remaining episodes?

Outlander season eight premieres on Friday, March 6, on Starz in the US, and Saturday, March 7, on MGM+ in the UK.
