Ozzy Osbourne has confessed to fearing that his health struggles were “never going to end.”
The Paranoid hitmaker, who has struggled with pneumonia, a persistent an infection, neck and spinal issues worsened by a fall in 2019, and Parkinson’s illness, is gearing up for Black Sabbath’s farewell live performance in Birmingham, England, this summer time.
He revealed that the star-studded occasion was orchestrated by his spouse, Sharon Osbourne, to give him “a reason to get up in the morning.”
In an interview with The Guardian, he shared, “You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end.”
The 76-year-old rock legend is absolutely dedicated to getting ready for the Back To The Beginning show on July 5. He has a personal coach dwelling with him to help regain his fitness, and a vocal coach visits a number of occasions a week.
He remarked, “I’m used to doing two hours on stage, jumping and running around. I don’t think I’ll be doing much jumping or running around this time. I may be sitting down.”
Yet, the seasoned rocker is resolute in giving it his all. He declared, “I’ll be there, and I’ll do the best I can. So all I can do is turn up.”
He concluded, “We’re only playing a couple of songs each. I don’t want people thinking ‘we’re getting ripped off’, because it’s just going to be … what’s the word? … a sample, you’re going to get a few songs each by Ozzy and Sabbath.”
