Paige Spiranac has admitted 2025 was not her best 12 months after struggling personal heartbreak and dealing with web hate.

2025 was “truly one of the worst experiences” of her life, Spiranac revealed in her YouTube video titled “Q&A to kick off 2026: You’ve been asking, now I’m answering”. 

“And then my dog died, Nico,” Spiranac says with a picture of her dog behind her.

“That’s just to name a few. It was kind of like something amazing would happen, and then something absolutely soul-shattering, heartbreaking would happen to me. And that’s just kind of how I felt my 2025 was going.”

Spiranac’s dog Nico passed away in March, as her Instagram was flooded with him after she adopted the rescue in 2017.

“It was an interesting year,” Sprianac said in her video. “Not a life-changing year. It wasn’t necessarily a good year. There were so many amazing moments… incredible moments in 2025 and some of the absolute worst moments ever. It was literally like a roller coaster up and down the entire time.

“One of the highlights was I was in a movie,” she added.

Not only was Spiranac in a movie, but also an insane cheating scandal for allegedly cheating by improving her team’s lie by moving fescue grass, which is a rule violation that led to her intense bullying online.

She took to Twitter after the claims, saying the threats have been crazy.

“1. The barstool/BDS group picked me as one of the 4 captains. I didn’t choose myself. 2. Micah, Peter, and Brad would completely smoke me from the same tees so it wouldn’t have been truthful for anybody on my group.

“3. I said “we won that draft” to my team to pump us up for tomorrow. 4. Hand up I was annoying lol 5. Funny how everyone says I’m so terrible and one of the worst there until the draft and all the sudden I’m stacking my team.”

A few days earlier, Spiranac posted a screenshot of one direct hate message that she had acquired, and the nameless person wrote “I f—— hate you. You stupid bitch think you’re so much better than everyone at the internet invitational. Go kill yourself you stupid c—” Spiranac was receiving hate because of her displaying in the $1 million Internet Invitational.
