Trump makes alarming threat to Hamas involving | Political News

President Donald Trump despatched an alarming threat to Hamas via his Truth Social web site on Saturday, threatening them to return the our bodies of the remaining hostages “over the next 48 hours.”

Trump’s current threats come as the ceasefire in Hamas continues to be extraordinarily weak and fragile, with both sides accusing one another of violating the settlement phrases.

“We have a very strong PEACE in the Middle East, and I believe it has a good chance of being EVERLASTING. Hamas is going to have to start returning the bodies of the deceased hostages, including two Americans, quickly, or the other Countries involved in this GREAT PEACE will take action,” he posted on his Truth Social account.

Since the start of the ceasefire, which was brokered by the Trump administration, Gaza’s media workplace has accused Israel of violating the deal with Hamas 47 occasions, killing 39 Palestinians and wounding about 143.

“These violations have included crimes of direct gunfire against civilians, deliberate shelling and targeting, and the arrest of a number of civilians, reflecting the occupation’s continued policy of aggression despite the declared end of the war,” a assertion issued by the workplace earlier this month read.

Meanwhile, Israel has accused Hamas of violating the settlement by failing to return the stays of deceased hostages. So far, Hamas has returned the stays of 15 out of 28 deceased hostages, though they’ve said that some of the remaining ones are buried under hundreds of kilos of rubble— coming from Israeli explosions— and it might be extraordinarily troublesome to find them.

President Trump seemingly acknowledged the challenges of returning all hostages in his Saturday Truth Social post, urging the militant group to immediately return the hostages they’ve been ready to find.

“Some of the bodies are hard to reach, but others they can return now and for some reason, they are not. Perhaps it has to do with their disarming, but when I said, ‘Both sides would be treated fairly,’ that only applies if they comply with their obligations,” the president wrote. “Let’s see what they do over the next 48 hours. I am watching this very closely.”

He warned that Hamas “will have a very big problem” if it fails to uphold the settlement with Israel.

“The ceasefire will hold. If not, we will deal with Hamas very harshly,” Trump declared. “I hope for Hamas’s sake that it holds. They gave us their word. If it doesn’t hold, they will have a very big problem.”

Trump beforehand said on Monday that if Hamas violates the ceasefire, the response will “happen very quickly and pretty violently, unfortunately, we are going to eradicate Hamas.”

Similarly, on a journey to Israel this week to open the U.S.-led Civilian-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) that is overseeing the ceasefire, Vice President JD Vance reiterated the administration’s demand to the group.

Hamas has to comply with the deal, and if Hamas doesn’t comply with the deal, very bad things are going to happen,” Vance said.
