Zohran Mamdani embraces ‘Mayor Mambino’ nickname…
Mayor Zohran Mamdani is “keeping the faith” as his hometown Mets are dealing with a historic shedding streak — with many followers pointing the finger at “Mayor Mambino” for cursing the workforce with a Mr. Mets hug.
“There’s a lot of baseball to be played,” Hizzoner said at an unrelated press convention on Tuesday. “I’m still keeping the faith as I know that many Mets fans are across the city.”
“I will accept being addressed as Mayor Mambino for the day,” he joked, referring to The New York Post’s entrance web page on Tuesday.

The Mets dropped their eleventh straight on Sunday, marking the longest shedding streak in workforce historical past.
Mamdani infamously hugged the workforce’s mascot on April 9, and since, the Mets have misplaced 10 consecutive video games.
Pressed on if he’ll do something to help out the floundering squad, Mamdani said he’ll keep carrying his Mets hat.
“I’m going to send all the best wishes to the team,” he added.
