The seemingly never-ending carnage continues in our nation’s third-most populous metropolis despite the indignant denunciations of Gov. JB Pritzker and Mayor Johnson, who continue to insist that they’ve bought every part under control while they paint President Donald Trump as some kind of wild-eyed fascist for wanting to use federal assets to stop the bloodshed.

Trump was keenly conscious of that fact, lambasting them Saturday on social media for enabling additional destruction and death:

Pritzker and Johnson don’t care about the common people residing in concern or the heartbroken households of the slain. Eight more youngsters with bullet wounds, with at least one lifeless, but they may continue to battle as laborious as they’ll for the established order and double down on more of their failed insurance policies.
