The View hosts force show to break over heated | TV Shows
The View co-hosts found themselves in the midst of a heated argument on the May 2 episode of the show as they were discussing Pete Hegseth‘s use of messaging platform Signal as a form of government communication, which has been leaked and labeled Signalgate.
Most recently, it was revealed Hegseth has an alleged second group chat as apart of the probe on the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
Discussing the Hot Topic, Sunny Hostin said: “Now, Pete Hegseth has another [Signal] thread with his wife on it and personal lawyer…but he will never ever admit defeat.”
Seemingly throwing support behind Hegseth, co-host Sara Haines got angry with Hostin as she claimed that her accusations were false.
Quickly, the entire panel broke into a disagreement as voices echoed on top of one another. The co-hosts began to bicker as the show was forced to move onto its commercial break.
“Here comes MAGA Alyssa to defend Trump and Hegseth,” a fourth viewer complained.
This comes just a day after Hostin clapped back at former Trump staffer Farah Griffin for praising Trump’s economy during his first term in office.
“There are a lot of things we should forget about the first Trump term and he should not replicate, but how he managed the economy is not something I think he should throw out the window,” she said.
Hostin shut her down almost immediately, reminding her that Trump inherited Obama’s economy when first entering office.
