GB News host Nana Akua erupts over migrant sex offender | UK News

GB News presenter Nana Akua issued a scathing two-word assertion about the current police manhunt for Hadush Kebatu, the migrant sex offender, who was mistakenly launched from prison. The 38-year-old was jailed for 12 months in September for inappropriately assaulting a 14-year-old woman and another lady.

The former asylum seeker, who had been dwelling at the Bell Hotel in Epping, where protests erupted over the summer season, was due to be deported, but was launched from HMP Chelmsford by error on Friday.

According to The Telegraph, the police manhunt started for Kebatu after he was wrongly categorised as a prisoner due to be launched on licence and handed a £76 discharge grant. Reacting to the reviews, Nana was at the GB News studios as she shared her ideas on an Instagram video. She chuckled: “You really couldn’t make this up.

“I’ve just been reporting that Hadush Kebatu, that is the man who inappropriately assaulted two people in Epping, the migrant who was sentenced to 12 months in prison to be deported, and you actually could not make this up, he is been launched by accident.”

Expressing her disbelief, Nana continued: “I’m sorry, but I just really feel like this nation is descending into toytown. This is utter lunacy.

“He’s apparently been seen on the streets – there’s a little video of him, it’s definitely him … I do have one thought, and my thought is this, just say GB News didn’t exist, I wonder if we would’ve got to hear about it. Just saying.”

Nana’s scathing remarks went on in the caption as she wrote: “You couldn’t make this up.. #Eppingmigrant released from prison.. by accident! Clown world.”

Many of her followers agreed with her sentiments, as they also took to the feedback with shock. One fumed: “Unbelievable, don’t know weather to laugh or cry, can this country get any worse?”

Another added: “So worrying for the victim and her family. UK is a joke, it’s actually embarrassing. Total chaos.”

As a third claimed: “We’re the most filmed country in the world via CCTV and you’re telling me this man vanished from outside a court! Wake up people! Government corruption.”

“I thought Frank Spencer would be retired for sure, but seems he was still working. What an absolute sketch show,” slammed one follower. As another echoed: “I heard someone say earlier the UK is now like a Carry On film.”

The UK Justice Secretary David Lammy said he was “appalled” by Kebatu’s unintentional release.

In a assertion on X, the Deputy Prime Minister wrote: “I am appalled at the release in error at HMP Chelmsford. We are urgently working with the police to track him down, and I’ve ordered an urgent investigation.”
