The View adds Marjorie Taylor Greene as guest | TV Shows
The View has announced that Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shall be stopping by the show next Tuesday.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, 69, announced the news during the Thursday, Oct. 30, episode of the hit ABC discuss show after the co-hosts mentioned the continuing authorities shutdown.
Shortly after the announcement, followers took to X, previously Twitter, to weigh in to say the Georgia congresswoman‘s interview ought to be fascinating and the could not wait to see it.
One particular person wrote, “OOOOH I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE,” as another added, “that should be interesting …. They likely let her on the VIEW because she’s one of the worst in the R party.”
A 3rd said, “This ought to be interesting. The current MTG (the one wanting to open the govt and extend the health benefits) may do ok here if she/they stick to that. Maybe actually annoy Dear Leader.”
A fourth penned, “This should be fun! Maybe MTG will seem more like a human on the show,” as yet another commented, “I will be there watching. This should be good. Sunny and Ana.”
However, others had been merely confused by the announcement, with one chiming in, “Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene to appear on The View next Tuesday WHAT’s going on ?!?”
Another joked, “Lol. Imagine telling someone less than 5 years ago that Marjorie Taylor Greene would appear on The View to be interviewed.”
Yet another penned, “Tell me you sold out, without telling me you sold out…. Marjorie Taylor Greene on The View.”
During her announcement on Thursday’s show, Goldberg said, “People in Washington are starting to say ‘my constituents.’ You know, they’re starting to remember why they’re there. Because you don’t get there without people putting you there.”
Goldberg famous that Greene has been saying that a lot currently, before revealing her upcoming guest look. “I’m happy to say that she’s gonna be here on Tuesday,” she said.

However, as Goldberg went on to level out the one factor she and her View co-hosts had in common with Greene, she slipped up and swore live on-air.
The comic said, “I don’t know how many things we agree on, but I know the one thing that she and I and all of us at this table agree on is this should not be affecting the American people. These are decisions that you don’t have the right…”
The show’s audio cut out as Goldberg was clearly bleeped out. She then held her fingers up to her mouth, wanting shocked and surprised by her slip-up.
The cameras then cut to the desk of co-hosts, as Alyssa Farah Griffin put her fingers over her mouth in shock as properly.
As the live viewers clapped their fingers, a surprised Goldberg appeared afraid still overlaying her mouth.
“Well, you know where I’m at,” Goldberg laughed after wanting embarrassed. “She’ll be here on Tuesday. We’ll be right back, I hope.”
Greene’s look comes weeks after the hosts of The View admitted that they need more Republicans to come on the show, but often have their invitations ignored or turned down.
On October 14, actress Cheryl Hines made a guest look, but her interview was principally dominated by questions about her husband, HHS Secretary RFK Jr.
Despite Goldberg and Joy Behar both noting to Hines that “this isn’t your fight,” they also identified that Kennedy himself would not seem on the show.
“I think we should have more Republicans on the show. They’re scared of us. It’s like Marjorie Taylor Greene says, that she finds the Republican men afraid of powerful women,” Behar said at the time.
“Well, that may be true of all political persuasions. But if they would come on the show, they can explain to us what they’re trying to do to this country, I’d like to hear it.”
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin talked about that Sen. Ted Cruz had beforehand appeared on the show and recommended other GOP lawmakers, such as Rep. Thomas Massie.
Hostin added, “I do think it’s important that Robert Kennedy Jr. comes on this show. I think that would be important.”
