The ABC neighborhood is grieving the loss of the community’s former senior correspondent Jim Avila.
On Thursday, November 13, ABC News Live anchor Diane Macedo shared the “sad news” that Avila had died at 69 years previous.
The current ABC community anchor revealed that Avila “passed away after a long illness.” She didn’t present further info relating to the veteran journalist’s passing.
The anchor then outlined Avila’s outstanding profession with ABC, spanning practically 20 years. “Jim was an L.A.-based correspondent specializing in politics, justice, law, and consumer investigations for nearly two decades,” Macedo said.
