This Disgusting Take on Spiking of 60 Minutes | Political News
There have been a lot of unhealthy reactions to editor-in-chief Bari Weiss pulling the 60 Minutes story about unlawful aliens and CECOT, the prison in El Salvador.
Now, bear in thoughts, she wasn’t saying that she wasn’t going to run with the story; she just needed more achieved to it before it ran to the public, such as including a current remark from the administration in the story, which they did not do. Indeed, that they had three different feedback, from the Department of Homeland Security, the State Department, and the White House, but they did not embrace any of them.

But the oldsters on the left did not care that the issues appeared like professional editorial issues. Perhaps one of the worst responses got here from Julie Roginsky. Roginsky is a former Democratic strategist who’s also appeared on Fox News Channel and now has a Substack e-newsletter. She truly in contrast Weiss’ motion to Dachau, the notorious World War II focus camp:
If escaped inmates from Dachau had staggered into a newsroom in Nineteen Thirties Berlin to report what was occurring, what would Bari Weiss have achieved? I feel we all know. https://t.co/2QKck12wA2

Her seen substack portion of her article expanded on that a little. I do not subscribe, so I can only remark on what’s seen.
If escaped inmates from Dachau had staggered into a newsroom in Nineteen Thirties Berlin — starved, crushed, carrying testimony of a system designed to disappear human beings — the most harmful individual in that room wouldn’t have been the regime’s censor. It would have been the editor who smiled sympathetically, took notes, promised “serious consideration,” and then quietly killed the story under the pretense that it didn’t current both sides of the focus camp debate.
That editor, in today’s American media panorama, has a title: Bari Weiss.
So, asking reporters to do their job and make their items better is censorship? Oh, and Dachau?
Can we speak about how unhinged that is?
First, this is minimizing what occurred at Dachau. illegal aliens being despatched to prison usually are not equal to harmless Jews being despatched to their deaths. The comparability is gross and disgusting, particularly when focused at a Jewish lady like Bari Weiss. She even included a image of a focus camp with Weiss’ image superimposed on it.
Why is it that people on the left cannot argue a level without defaulting to Nazis/Hitler? It just exhibits their argument is poor proper out of the chute if they go there. She’s been getting ratioed to the moon, and she still hasn’t pulled the post, so she has no disgrace.
Roginsky also had this unhealthy take about Bari Weiss’ memo to the workers demanding more work on the story, commenting on Weiss saying she tracked down the quantity for the workers to contact Trump officers Stephen Miller or Tom Homan for remark, that they weren’t shy about offering remark.
Warning for graphic language:
The best half of this shit show memo is Weiss patting herself on the back that she “tracked down cell numbers for Homan and Miller,” as though journalists at 60 Minutes — 60 MINUTES — couldn’t monitor them down without her help. https://t.co/nQ0g6CttXY pic.twitter.com/hFLrI5OI5M
— Julie Roginsky (@julieroginsky) December 23, 2025
As though the “journalists” at 60 Minutes could not monitor down the numbers, Roginsky snarked.
Um, yes? That’s precisely Weiss’ level: where is the Trump administration remark, because it would not take a lot to get it? But they did not put it in the story.
Oh, and if you have been speaking about a newsroom in Berlin in the 30s, chances are high that Weiss would not have been there because she would have been purged out for being Jewish, and they did not like people who might problem their narrative.
