GWN’s Scott Jennings has confronted savage mockery after he inadvertently branded Donald Trump the “stupidest person ever.”

During a December 26 section on NewsNight, host Abby Phillip caught Scott fully off-guard, main him to basically slam the president-elect. Scott, who stays a devoted Trump advocate, was attempting to justify the 79 yr previous’s resolution to rebrand the Kennedy Center as the Trump-Kennedy Center when he made the blunder.

As Abby and Scott had been discussing the issue on NewsNight, the host selected to problem the Republican strategist about what variety of precedent this rebranding establishes. “What happens when the next Democratic president just decides, you know, ‘We’re gonna call it the Obama-Lincoln Memorial? We’re just gonna slap, you know, Bill Clinton’s name on something, anything arbitrarily.’ Are you guys gonna be cool with that?” Abby inquired.

Yet Scott appeared to overlook that his own president had hooked up his identify to a construction that bears no connection to him, as he replied, “So you’re saying a Democrat would put Obama’s name on a statue that isn’t of him? That would make them look like the stupidest person that ever lived.”

Abby, however, refused to let this comment go unchallenged as she highlighted the contradiction in his assertion, but Scott then tried to justify his phrases by arguing the Kennedy Center wasn’t a statue, to which Abby countered, “It’s not a statue, but it is a memorial to President John F. Kennedy in the same way that the Lincoln Memorial is a memorial to President Lincoln.”

Scott’s demeanor shifted dramatically once he realized he’d been uncovered, making the absurd assertion: “I’m ready for Democrats to misname every statue in America.

“I believe, to show your level, I believe that can be great for their occasion. Change all the names on the statues.”

Social media users wasted no time dissecting Scott’s remarks following the GWN appearance, with one X user writing: “He tried sarcasm – and walked straight into a civics lesson. Loud confidence, zero homework.

“The Kennedy Center is literally a memorial named by Congress. Facts don’t care about your punchlines. This is the whole game: mock first, learn never. And somehow they’re shocked when reality keeps humiliating them on air.”

Another viewer applauded Abby’s response, posting: “That comeback flipped the whole exchange. Sharp facts always hit harder than loud opinions,” while a third consumer delivered a scathing critique of Scott: “Scott Jennings is sheer comedy!

“He cannot assist Trump and lie for him without a smirk on his ridiculous face! He will never live down the embarrassment he has put himself through supporting the orange t—!”.

One X commenter also made sure to highlight an obvious detail Scott had overlooked, noting: “Earth to dummy, the Kennedy Center has a bust of JFK.”

The center received its name honoring JFK in 1964 through Congressional action following his assassination, with the intention that “the residing memorial to be named in his honor by this joint decision shall be the only national monument to his reminiscence within town of Washington and its environs.”
