Gladiators’ viewers erupted in boos as host Bradley Walsh acquired a telling-off from the referee.
The presenter was questioning the laws of one of the video games on the BBC programme when ref Mark Clattenburg barked: “Be quiet!”
Unimpressed, the crowd started booing as Mark wagged his finger at the TV character.
The light-hearted conflict occurred during Saturday’s semi-final (March 14), as contenders Mo and Finn competed against the Gladiators in an attempt to secure a place in the ultimate of the current sequence.
Mo was penalised for dropping a ball during the Collision sport, telling Bradley afterwards that he believed he ought to have been awarded the purpose regardless, studies the Mirror. “I think I got disqualified with one point. I should have been allowed that,” he said.

Turning to Mark, Bradley tried the make clear the principles in that scenario, saying: “Please explain what’s going on there, please?”
The ref responded: “You’ve dropped the ball on the bridge. That’s against the rules.”
However, Bradley questioned whether or not there may be a loophole, asking: “There’s a case to be said that if you drop the ball and then you regain it and catch it? I mean, seriously.”
However, pointing his finger at him, the ref snapped: “Bradley, be quiet!”
“The rules are the rules,” he continued as the crowd erupted into a refrain of loud boos.
Smirking at the viewers, Bradley muttered about Mark: “He’s got out of the wrong side of the bed today.”

The second also entertained viewers watching at home, with a number of taking to social media to remark on it.
One particular person posted on X: “The referee telling Bradley to be quiet as he objected the rules!”
“Bradley getting in Mark’s bad books again, classic,” another consumer chimed in on the platform, beforehand identified as Twitter.
However, another appeared to suppose it was a tad extreme, commenting: “This show is getting a bit pantomimey…” Another quipped: “Clattenburg getting his audition for Christmas panto villain in nice and early.”
