Fox viewers turn on Trump after senators unfair | TV Shows

Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin ranted against the media, a transfer that made President Donald Trump look dangerous.

During Fox News‘ broadcast of The Story with Martha MacCallum on March 23, Johnson, 70, spoke about the shutdown of Departmart of Homeland Security. The shutdown is affecting the company accountable for screening passengers and baggage at airports nationwide. Although Transportation Security Administration officers are mandated to work without pay, legislators have yet to agree on Homeland Security’s annual funding.

Johnson slammed the media for placing the blame on Republicans and not on Democrats. This comes as Trump is in a determined bid to drive ‘loopy’ Democrats into a deal with $5 billion ICE funding cuts.

Johnson said, “Well, the votes, the votes we’ve taken repeatedly to fund DHS. And Republicans have voted consistently to fund DHS. Democrats have consistently not to do so. What’s missing here is an unbiased media!

“The fact of the matter is, Democrats have precipitated the shutdown. Democrats are stopping TSAs from being paid.

“And the media does not hold them accountable. If the tables were turned, if the Republicans were voting no to DHS funding, we would be scorned by the mainstream media. The ladies of The View are destroying Republicans, but they should be doing it to the Democrats,” he continued.

“The fact that we do not have an unbiased media. Democrats are just so brazen. They’re denying paychecks to people who are living paycheck to paycheck. It’s galling to listen to the media who simply lie about it.”

Viewers took to social media and slammed Trump, blaming him for not having the ability to negotiate a deal between Republicans and Democrats.

One individual said, “Republicans CONTROL Congress, and they’re using that power to REFUSE TO PAY TSA agents and SEND untrained ICE agents to our airports.”

Another individual mockingly added, “Yeah, sorry that everyone doesn’t run propaganda for the state like that abomination that you’re currently on.”

A 3rd wrote, “Don’t you have a right-leaning news network in the mainstream? I guess reporting the truth is unfair. What’s unfair is the consistent lying by the Republicans.

Despite Johnson’s statements being criticized, he did have one supporter who agreed with him and said, “The mainstream media is Democrat propaganda.”

On March 23, President Trump ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to be sent to airports to help with the increasingly long lines at security checkpoints amid the shutdown.

“On Monday, ICE might be going to airports to help our great TSA Agents who have stayed on the job,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “I’ll transfer our good and patriotic ICE Agents to the Airports where they may do Security like no one has ever seen before.”

A union rep for the TSA criticized the move, saying staff “deserve to be paid, not changed by untrained, armed brokers.”

Homeland Security has gone without funding since mid-February, after Congress failed to attain an settlement, leaving airport security employees without pay.
