President Donald Trump confronted criticism following a live look on Fox News’ The Five, where he was accused of deflecting critical questions about Iran with flirtatious remarks.

During the Fox broadcast, host Dana Perino pressed Trump about communication with Iranian residents. She said, “We have not been able to see or hear from any of the Iranian people. I imagine that is because their internet is shut down, and I think there is some general worry about them. Obviously, their government treats them terribly. They killed tens of thousands of them in January…Do you have any insight as to how they are doing? Do they have drinking water? Do they have food? It’s upsetting.”

Rather than addressing the humanitarian issues, Trump shifted the dialog in an sudden direction, asking in a flirtatious method, “I do. But first, do you remember when we had lunch years ago at the base of Trump Tower, when it was a brand-new building?”

“It was a long time ago, yes,” Perino acknowledged.

“A long time ago, and you haven’t changed. You have not changed,” he continued, before stating, “Now, I’m not allowed to say this. It’s the end of my political career. But, you may be even better looking, okay? I don’t know what you’re doing. That will end my political career.”

Perino responded with humor, saying, “Fox hair and makeup has a lot to do with that.” After footage of the exchange circulated widely on social media, viewers shared their reactions.
