Bidarian said: “We think he broke his jaw. He’s fine. We met with Netflix afterwards. He took a shower. He drove himself to the hospital. A broken jaw is common in sports, particularly in boxing or MMA, and I think the recovery time is four to six weeks.”
Paul confirmed the injury following a hospital go to and is predicted to be out of the ring for some time.
The 28-year-old acknowledged he would step away from the ring briefly before figuring out his next steps. This break is enforced by the Florida Athletic Commission who sometimes droop boxers for 30 days after a fight.
However, Paul’s suspension may last up to 60 days due to his damaged jaw. Following his victory, Joshua said: “It wasn’t the best performance. The goal was to get Jake Paul out and hurt him.
