Jake Paul was sternly told ‘followers didn’t pay to see this c***’ before being knocked out by Anthony Joshua. The brutal putdown got here not from his opponent but the referee, as Paul repeatedly clung onto the Brit in the ring.

Paul was full of pleasure at sharing the ring with Joshua, spitting blood onto the ring before he said: “That was crazy, I had a blast, I’m blessed by God to put on a performance like this. Anthony is a great fighter, I got my arse beat. But I’ll come back and keep winning.

“I’ve already received in every single manner in life, my household, my jaw is damaged by the best way, it is positively broke, good little a** whooping from one of the best to ever do it. Honestly, I’m not shocked, I just acquired drained, so a lot handling his weight, I feel with better cardio, I may’ve saved preventing.

“I did my personal best. Oh, for sure, we’ll heal the broken jaw, go back, fight people my own weight and go for the cruiserweight world title.”

At the post-fight press convention, MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian provided an update on Paul’s condition and confirmed the American was heading to hospital. Bidarian said: “We think he broke his jaw. He’s fine. We met with Netflix afterwards. He took a shower. He drove himself to the hospital. A broken jaw is common in sports, particularly in boxing or MMA, and I think the recovery time is four to six weeks.”

Paul confirmed the injury following a hospital go to and is predicted to be out of the ring for some time.

The 28-year-old acknowledged he would step away from the ring briefly before figuring out his next steps. This break is enforced by the Florida Athletic Commission who sometimes droop boxers for 30 days after a fight.

However, Paul’s suspension may last up to 60 days due to his damaged jaw. Following his victory, Joshua said: “It wasn’t the best performance. The goal was to get Jake Paul out and hurt him.

“Jake Paul has carried out very well tonight. I need to give him his props, he acquired up, time and time again. I just took my time and I acquired the job carried out. I refuse to get harm, I refuse to acknowledge getting harm. There is no harm in me.”
