As CrimsonState reported, SEIU California President David Huerta tried to impede Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) brokers from serving a warrant at a business alleged to be hiring unlawful immigrants and falsifying employment paperwork. Huerta was immediately stopped and rapidly positioned in handcuffs. He was reportedly injured and despatched for therapy at a hospital before being held pending a Monday arraignment.

Huerta, 58, president of Service Employees International Union California (SEIU), has been charged with conspiring to impede an officer during an anti-ICE protest in Los Angeles on Friday, June 6.

On Monday, Huerta was launched from custody on $50,000 bond.

“I just want to tell my members … that I hope, I don’t know if the right word is forgiveness,” he stated after being launched. “It was not my intention to get arrested. I hope that I did not put them in harm’s way.”

Huerta was arrested on Friday when law enforcement officers had been executing a federal search warrant at a Los Angeles business under investigation for allegedly hiring unlawful immigrants and falsifying employment papers.

Apparently, California Democrat legislators, U.S. Congressmen, and Senators are demanding an investigation into Huerta’s arrest and demanding that ICE be suspended from the town. When the unions say, “Jump,” the Democrats say, “How High?” Gotta guarantee they keep the donations flowing to their marketing campaign coffers.
