DWTS fans convinced Winter Olympics champion Quad | TV Shows
Fans of Dancing with the Stars are convinced that Winter Olympics champion Ilia Malinin can be becoming a member of the next season of the show.
The 21-year-old determine skater, recognized as Quad God, sparked hypothesis that he could also be headed for the DWTS ballroom after skilled dancer Rylee Arnold, 20, posted a video on Instagram of her instructing Ilia and his teammate Danny O’Shea, 35, some dance strikes.
Rylee captioned the video, which was taken behind the scenes during the Milano Cortina Winter Games, “I had the best time teaching these incredible Olympians a few dance moves!
“Now it is time for them to educate me a few strikes on the ice?”
While both Ilia and Danny were naturals on the dancefloor, fans were impressed by Ilia – and many said they would love to see him join the dancing competition.
“Need this on next season of DWTS,” a person said. “Great lifter. So strong. This wants to occur for sure,” a fan shared.
Another wrote, “Ilia and Rylee and DWTS next season… PLEASE.” A fourt posted, “So freaking cool!!! Love love love!!”
Someone else speculated, “Rylee is getting both Stephen and Ilia as companions!! Come on athletes!!!”
“MAKE THIS HAPPEN,” a fan urged. Sparking more speculation, the official DWTS profile commented, “Look at that footwork.”
Others also praised Danny, with a person saying, “Yes!! Danny O’Shea can be an superior contestant on the next DWTS.” One more wrote, “Both of them can be great on DWTS!!”
Back in December, Rylee was forced to set the record straight on engagement rumors swirling around her.
In a TikTok video, the professional dancer decided to give her fans an update about her relationship status with her boyfriend, Walker Lyons. The couple has been together since October 2024.
“There was heaps of hypothesis [from] this journey coming around,” the alum of the ABC dancing competition said in her video, referring to her recent vacation with Lyons, 21, and his family.
“No, I’m not engaged,” she stressed, even holding up both of her ring fingers as proof.
“This is my proper hand, this is my left hand,” she continued to inform her followers. “And, ringless. Seeing the videos of people considering I used to be made me chuckle a little bit.”
Earlier this week Ilia, who helped the US win the team gold medal early in the Winter Games, posted a video on social media juxtaposing images of his many triumphs with a black-and-white image of himself with his head buried in his hands, and a caption hinting at an “inevitable crash” amid the pressure of the Olympics.
On Saturday, he is expected to skate in the traditional exhibition gala to wrap up the Olympic figure skating program.
Quad God was the heavy favorite to add another gold in the individual event last week, but he fell twice and struggled throughout his free skate on Friday, ending up in eighth.
He acknowledged afterward that the pressure of the Olympics had worn him down, saying, “I did not actually know how to deal with it.”
On social media, he wrote, “On the world’s greatest stage, those who seem the strongest might still be preventing invisible battles on the inside. Even your happiest reminiscences can end up tainted by the noise.
“Vile online hatred attacks the mind and fear lures it into the darkness, no matter how hard you try to stay sane through the endless insurmountable pressure.
“It all builds up as these moments flash before your eyes, ensuing in an inevitable crash.”
