Fox News viewers have slammed one of the community’s company after he was accused of “profiting off the Bible” during a live interview.
As his Monday interview was wrapping up, Greenwood whipped out a Bible and jumped in to say, “I wanted to make sure you understand that I have this Bible. This is God Bless the U.S.A Bible, talking about my song, and this is something that everyone needs in their home. GodblessUSAbible.com, you can get one of these for Easter. Give it as a gift. I have one for all of you.”
The hosts graciously thanked Greenwood, as Ainsley Earhardt added, “That’s so sweet of you. You have such a beautiful heart. Thank you so much, Lee, for what you do.”
Following the show’s broadcast, Fox News viewers took to social media to share their ideas on Greenwood’s transfer, as one X person wrote, “Greenwood was one of the merchants ripping people off in the Temple when Christ entered it and overturned the tables.”
A second particular person then added, “People profiting off the Bible is the most Un-CHRISTIAN act anyone can do,” as a third merely fumed, “Oh, for f–k’s sake !!”
“On the record – I dislike people who sell the Bible – (not bookstores) but people hawking it for fun and profit on television – and a president who does it – like Trump does and now Greenwood – only get my undiluted scorn,” penned a fourth indignant Fox News viewer. “People who are Christians know when they need a Bible and when they need to give one to someone else. God Bless them. Please buy it from a credible charity or church organization – not the shysters on TV.”
According to the God Bless the united statesA Bible’s web site, the usual copies of the guide retail at $59.99; however, if you need a camo version or a pink and gold one, you will need to fork out $74.99.
But they don’t seem to be the only copies you will get, as Greenwood also sells Melania Trump and Donald Trump editions for $99.99, and remember about JD Vance, who also has an version for the same price.
For those with more money to spend, though, they’ll buy a $1,000 “President Donald J. Trump Signature Edition Bible” which has been “hand-signed” by the 79-year-old himself. Additionally, if clients buy two Bibles, they’re going to obtain a free “singing bag,” which, of course, sings and lights up.
