Fox News got here to a standstill as President Donald Trump welcomed democratic socialist and newly elected New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdami, to the White House.

The forty seventh President did not hesitate to unleash a contemporary barrage of remarks about the UK, declaring Britain’s power disaster “out of control” while fielding questions about his pending $5 billion legal battle against the BBC.

The former president pulled no punches – yet still maintained that Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is a “good man.” “We get along very well with the prime minister,” Trump declared. “We made a deal with the UK, I like him, he’s a fine person and I think they have some big energy problems. They’ve got windmills all over the place, they’re going to have to start using other methods because their energy is out of control.”

He continued that Britain confronts a “big immigration problem” but emphasised Starmer is “a good man,” experiences the Express.

The observations got here just before Trump turned his focus to Mamdani, whom he enthusiastically congratulated following the New York politician’s surprising electoral triumph.

Trump recommended the magnitude of Mamdani’s win, stating he “really ran an incredible race against a lot of smart people. He beat them and he beat them easily.”

The duo mentioned a vary of topics from housing to food costs and oil prices, with Trump telling reporters, “I just want to congratulate [him] I think he’s gonna hopefully be a really great mayor. The better he does, the happier I am. I will say there’s no difference in party. There’s no difference in anything. We’re going to be helping him, to make everybody’s dream come true.”

Mamdani then took the highlight, describing the Oval Office assembly as “productive” and rooted in “a place of shared admiration and love: New York City.”

“We are very clear about our positions and our views,” Mamdani said. “And what I really appreciate about the president is that the meeting we had focused… on the shared purpose that we have in serving New Yorkers.”

Trump also addressed his earlier menace to ship troops to New York during unrest. “I think that we have known murderers and known drug dealers and some very bad people,” he said.

“Actually, maybe more than anything else, [Mamdani] wants to have a safe New York… we can talk about anything you want, if you don’t have safe streets, it’s not going to be a success. So we’re going to work together.”

When requested if he’d personally really feel protected residing in New York under Mamdani’s management, Trump did not hesitate, “I would. We agree on a lot more than I would have thought, I want him to do a great job and we’ll help him do a great job.”
