Fox News halts broadcast for devastating breaking | TV Shows


Fox News interrupted its commonly scheduled newscast to share the tragic news of the second pilot concerned in the Hammonton, New Jersey, helicopter crash on December 28.

Kenneth L. Kirsch, 65, of Carneys Point, was pronounced useless at the hospital just hours after his fellow pilot and pal Michael Greenberg, 71, of Sewell, was pronounced useless at the scene of the collision.

The accident occurred around 11:25 AM close to an intersection at Route 30 and Basin Road in South Jersey, just a mile from the Hammonton Municipal Airport, says Fox.

Fox reported that both helicopters went down in a close by subject, with one bursting into flames.

Hammonton Police Department Chief Kevin Friel shared early studies indicating that the helicopters had been flying facet by facet after their departure. “Reports were that they were flying in tandem, that they were flying close together, which is probably what caused the collision to occur,” Friel said.

Fox hosts also famous that the pair had been close associates and had just lifted off after stopping for breakfast at the airport’s cafe, where they had been common prospects, according to the proprietor.

“They were just at our café having breakfast, they’re regulars, they come in, they seem to be very nice people,” reported Sal Silipino, who owns the Apron Cafe. “I saw one go down, and then I saw the other one go down and it was a little disbelief, like, ‘Is that really happening?'”

The aircrafts had been an Enstrom F-28A piloted by Kirsch and an Enstrom 280C piloted by Greenberg.

Fox viewers reacted to the tragedy on social media, with one writing on Fox’s X web page, “Losing two best friends who used to start every morning with breakfast together is a heartbreaking end to the year.”

“Midair between friends is a glitch in the matrix of the worst kind. Heartbreaking,” another shared.

A 3rd added, “That’s just awful news about those guys… so sad for their families and friends.”

“Heartbreaking. Two lives lost doing what they loved, and they were close friends. Praying for their families,” one more wrote.
