GWN halts show as Trump warns sick Columbian | TV Shows
GWN halted its latest section to share Donald Trump’s candid ideas on the nation of Columbia and its president.
On Monday, January 5, host Sara Sidner revealed there was a “massive military mobilization” along the border of Columbia and Venezuela. Columbia had moved 30,000 troops to the border after the U.S. army struck Venezuela and captured Nicolás Maduro and his spouse Cilia Flores.
The close by invasion isn’t the only matter inflicting alarm in Columbia. The anchor talked about, “The rhetoric from President Trump also has the entire region on edge. President Trump is threatening Colombian President Gustavo Petro directly, calling him a ‘sick’ man and not ruling out military action, similar to what happened in Venezuela.”
While on board Air Force One, the U.S. president took questions from the press about the strike on Venezuela. While speaking to reporters, he also gave his take on Columbia, saying, “Colombia is very sick, too. Run by a sick man, who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States, and he’s not going to be doing it very long. He has cocaine mills and cocaine factories.”
When asked if there would be an “operation” against Columbia, he merely said, “It sounds good to me.”
U.S. president ordered a “large-scale air strike” on Caracas, Venezuela in the early hours of the morning on January 3. At least seven explosions rang out at roughly 2am ET. Trump then announced that Maduro and his spouse had been captured on Truth Social at roughly 4:30am ET.
During a press briefing hours later, the president said, “Overwhelming American army energy, air, land and sea was used to launch a spectacular assault — and it was an assault like people haven’t seen since World War II.”
All Venezuelan military capabilities were “rendered powerless,” leaving the U.S. to take over control.
“We are going to run the nation until such time as we will do a protected, correct and even handed transition,” he talked about.
