Jelly Roll followers are outraged after it was revealed that he could be performing at Kid Rock’s upcoming music festival.
Kid Rock, who is a staunch MAGA ally and close buddy of Donald Trump, is internet hosting a “festival for the people,” called Rock the Nation, this summer season. The event consists of eight “massive” reveals across eight cities, including Bellville, Texas, and Ocala, Florida.
Joining Jelly Roll in the lineup are Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Lynard Skynard and Nelly. Originally, rapper and Fast and Furious star Ludacris was supposed to be performing at the festival, but pulled out after intense backlash from his followers.Â
After the release of the roster, Jelly Roll followers took to social media to share their disappointment with his inclusion, as one individual wrote on Threads, “Oh man. Jelly Roll? I’m heartbroken.”
Another individual then added, “Why are people even acting surprised that Jelly Roll is MAGA? His music is buns anyways who cares?” with a laughing face emoji.

“I can’t believe I defended @jellyroll615 and then this BS…. apparently Ludacris dropped out when he saw the WAVE of comments. This is a full-on MAGA train, and I’m so saddened by a lot of these names, but not surprised,” penned a third, while a fourth commented, “I’m shocked people are surprised by this. He has MAGA vibes.”
Jelly Roll has not yet spoken out about the backlash he is obtained from followers, but following the criticism obtained by Ludacris last week, the rapper determined to step down from performing.Â
On social media, people shared their disappointment over Ludacris’s inclusion on the roster, with one individual fuming, “If Luda is up there Cooning, buy bye. No longer supporting. You make your money off the black community, but want to then be alt right maga guy.”
“If not wanting Ludacris to perform at a modern-day klan, really full of MAGA folks who are outwardly and proudly anti-black, is throwing a fit…then yea we threw a fit. Too many of us grew up being fans of Luda to see him align with the same folks who want black history erased,” added a second.
However, according to Ludacris’ spokesperson, the rationale he was initially in the lineup was due to a “mix-up. Lines got crossed, and he wasn’t supposed to be on there.”
Another musician to obtain backlash for his upcoming efficiency at Rock the Nation is Nelly, who has disregarded the criticism he is confronted this past week.Â
But Nelly’s followers are maybe less shocked at seeing him on the invoice than Jelly Roll’s and Ludacris’, given his earlier look at the inaugural Rock The Country tour in 2024, as nicely as his efficiency at President Trump’s 2025 inauguration.
