Kristo Noem, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, was seen hugging an “Angel Mom” in the midst of being heckled by anti-ICE protesters at the House of Representatives today. 

Noem had just abruptly left Thursday’s House Committee on Homeland Security listening to where she was seen embracing Agnes Gibboney, recognized publicly as an “Angel Mom” in the midst of the chaotic scene.

Gibboney’s son was murdered on April 27, 2002, by an undocumented immigrant who had been beforehand deported.

X footage captured the intimate second between the 2 amid the backdrop of a chaotic scene.

Noem was surrounded by police officers and people from the media as she walked through the hallway.

Noem was also holding a child in the method, though it’s unclear the identification of the kid and their relationship with Noem. As the Noem strikes within the group, she pauses to hug Gibboney. The two then exchange phrases with each other, which was not picked up on audio, as protestors may be heard in the background yelling, “Shame on you.”

“There’s nothing worse than someone who uses a baby as a political tool, while taking babies away from their families,” yelled another protester, as Noem and Gibboney continued to converse.

“You’ve been abducting parents, you’ve been terrorizing communities,” another protestor yells. At this level, Noem and the people crowding her have now come to a transient pause as she continues to speak with Gibboney while holding the kid.

“Shame on you, Kristi Noem. You run modern-day concentration camps, you are the modern-day SS and Gestapo,” protesters yelled.

Who Is “Angel Mom” Gibboney

Agnes Gibboney is an immigrant initially from Budapest, Hungary. She and her household immigrated to Brazil when she was 2 years previous, and utilized to come to the U.S. after residing in the South American nation for 13 years. She and her household ultimately turned U.S. residents.

According to Gibboney, her 29-year-old son, Ronald da Silva, was standing in their driveway in El Monte when he was shot by Luis Humberto Gonzales, a recognized gang member who was deported to Mexico in 1999 after housebreaking costs, but later re-entered the nation.

He obtained an 11-year sentence for manslaughter after the killing of Mr. da Silva, was launched from Calipatria State Prison in Imperial County in 2019, and deported the same day, according to newspaper accounts.

Since the death of her son, Gibboney has been vocal against sanctuary cities and testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security in 2017 and ran for Congress in California’s thirty first District in 2020.

Gibboney also got here to the White House as a visitor of President Donald Trump alongside other “Angel Moms”-parents who misplaced youngsters to crimes by undocumented immigrants- and has advocated for immigration reform and appeared on conservative news retailers, including Fox News and Hannity.
