Television character and journalist Megyn Kelly broke down in tears after discovering out the news that far-right commentator Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck during a speech at Utah Valley University. As of the same afternoon, he has been pronounced useless.

While talking on her SiriusXM show, The Megyn Kelly Show, the previous Fox host acquired misty-eyed as she begged people to ‘pray to God’ following the act of violence.

“We can pray, pray, pray God that he survives this. Pray for his family, pray for his children, his two young children,” Kelly said as she grew choked up.

“Let’s ask ourselves what our country is coming to. How does this happen?” she continued. “How does someone whose only job is to comment on political matters wind up a target for assassin?”

Kelly completed in saying, “This is the United States of America. We have commentators, we have provacative commentators. This is what we’ve been doing since the dawn of time.”

The tragic second got here as Kirk was presenting a speech to the UVU chapter of his far-right political group, Turning Point USA.

At the time of publishing, the gunman has not been recognized, but police continue to search through suspects.

Trump has confirmed his death on social media, writing on his Truth Social platform, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is useless. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”

“He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to Charlie and his family. We love you!” he completed.
