House Speaker Mike Johnson has indicated that the partial authorities shutdown may end as early as Tuesday, despite inner GOP tensions and Democratic pushback.

The Republican speaker faces mounting strain to advance the funding invoice for the Department of Homeland Security, which was initially break up from 5 other appropriations packages, according to Politico.
