One of Tom Cruise’s top movies, which followers declare is “underrated” but “holds up” more than 30 years after its initial release, is now prepared to stream on Netflix.
The streaming giant added the long-lasting 1990 movie to its library on Friday sixth March, making it an ideally suited selection for viewers looking for a bit of thrill after a long working day.
Days of Thunder stars the Mission: Impossible actor as a younger racing driver named Cole Trickle who finally will get his alternative to showcase his expertise when he is chosen to race for NASCAR, mentored by legendary pit crew chief Harry Hogge (portrayed by Robert Duvall).
After a high-speed conflict with rival driver Rowdy Burns (Michael Rooker), Cole suffers severe accidents, but a fortuitous assembly with beautiful neurosurgeon Dr. Claire Lewicki (Nicole Kidman) supplies him the strength required to get better and conquer his fears.

One fan on Letterboxd praised in a five-star review: “Any movie that has me standing up, cheering and clapping in my living room during the finale is a fantastic one in my books. This one did exactly that.
“The forged is wonderful. I might gladly watch ten more sports activities movies with this precise group. It is the proper variety of film to throw on during a laid back Saturday afternoon.”
