Hollywood actor Stellan Skarsgård stars as DI John River, a detective struggling with the loss of his accomplice. After his colleague Stevie (Nicola Walker) is murdered, River is forbidden from becoming a member of the case. However, unable to let it go, River works on his own to discover Stevie’s killer, uncovering darkish secrets and techniques about her life in the method.

As he searches for the reality, River battles his own mental health. Discussing the project forward of its release in 2015, Skarsgård said: “If it was a normal TV series it would be rather easy to tell you about it but it’s not and that’s why I’m in it. You could say it’s a crime story on the surface, but it’s really more about a person’s breakdown or his psychological status.

He added to The eliminateing Times: “This police officer I’m enjoying, he has a mental disorder. We’ve heard a lot about people that hear voices, but he truly sees those people as nicely that he’s speaking to, and very often it’s victims of crime that pop up and have conversations with him. They’re not like ghosts, they’re his own creations.”

This is a must watch and very intriguing and is heartbreakingly incredible. It’s art disguised as a TV series. IT’S THAT PERFECT!
